<nowiki>*</nowiki>The reason I say maybe is because a lot of the stuff the miner has is to stay alive, and if the Prisoners want to survive, they need to get back to the station. Killing the miner would really help in that. - [[User:Armhulen|Armhulen]] ([[User talk:Armhulen|talk]]) 17:54, 13 May 2016 (UTC)

"Hey, this isn't the asteroid!"

Lavaland is the new primary workplace for Shaft Miners, not to be confused with another dangerous plasma rich area. After exhausting all the hostile wildlife minerals on the asteroid, Nanotrasen scoured space around the station for a new source for that sweet, sweet Plasma. unLuckily for you, they found a young planet almost completely covered in lava and a host of deadly creatures. Did we mention the ash storms? There are ash storms as well. Don't forget to grab a bluespace shelter capsule. You're definitely gonna want one of those. Welcome to Lavaland.

Wildlife

You aren't the only ones living on Lavaland, there are other creatures who dwell deep within.

Non-sapient Wildlife

The usual, creatures going around killing you. If you want to learn about them, go here, but usually...

Ash Storm Proof? Yes.

Breathe? Yes.

Hostile? Yes.

Podmen

Podman.png Podpeople are created by a mad scientist botanist, and they were sent into the cosmos to help other races. They crashed on Lavaland, and try to keep their spirits up, waiting for anything that won't kill them. They work in a pod with a basic setup for botany, but can not withstand the harsh outside.

Ash Storm Proof? No.

Breathe? No.

Hostile? No.

Free Golems

Golem.png Golems left home after they were created by a mad botanist scientist, named the Liberator. He said wise words to the golems, to indicate their every move to this day: "Yeah, do whatever." They work inside a crashed shuttle and can create golems by using a lot of metal and 10 sheets of any refined ore after that.

Ash Storm Proof? No.

Breathe? Yes.

Hostile? No.

Ashwalkers

Picture Ashwalkers are hunters, fighting for the Necropolis at the north of lavaland. They hunt the creatures, and the creatures

Needed hunt them. They are also mad that you guys are invading their homeworld so do not try to talk with them, they are hostile. They have a special necropolis tentacle that takes sacrifices and makes Ashwalker eggs in return.

Ash Storm Proof? No.

Breathe? Yes.

Hostile? Yes.

Veterinary

Generic virologist.png It was a normal day working offworld as a startup vet company, when all the sudden they were teleported into a hellish Lava-filled planet, along with two patients, a mouse and a cow. Damn bluespace terrorists. Will they survive? Will the mouse ever recover from it's cancer? Should you really be feeding the mouse cyanide for chemotherapy? It's up to you.

Ash Storm Proof? No.

Breathe? No.

Hostile? No.

Prisoners

Generic security.png Prisoners were going to a high security prison, where they keep the worst of the worst, for crimes unspoken, when suddenly, fate gave them a second chance. Next thing they knew, they were on a crashed ship, on a hostile moon, with only each other for help. Easily the hardest to survive, they have no tools and no way to heal, even the vets had an easier time.

Ash Storm Proof? No.

Breathe? No.

Hostile? Maybe, see notes for reasoning.1

Ore

Wall Raw Ore Point Value Processed Ore Coin Door Name Frequency Uses
Ironwall.png Ironore.png 1 Metal.png Ironcoin.png Irondoor.gif Iron Very Common For just about everything.
N/A Ironore.pngPlasmaore.png N/A Metal r.png N/A N/A Plasteel N/A An alloy of iron and plasma, for AI cores and reinforced walls. Can now be produced via the ore redemption machine.
Minefloor.png Sandore.png 1
Glass.png
N/A Sanddoor.gif Sand Very Common For making glass, which has a plethora of station applications. Activate sand in your hand to make sandstone bricks. These can be used to make dirt which can be used to grow plants.
N/A Sandore.pngIronore.png N/A
Glass r.png
N/A N/A Reinforced Glass N/A For reinforced glass, which is tougher than normal glass.
Plasmawall.png Plasmaore.png 15 Plasmadone.png Plasmacoin.png Plasmadoor.gif Plasma Common Ship sheets back to Centcom for bonus supply points.
Silverwall.png Silverore.png 16 Silverdone.png Silvercoin.png Silverdoor.gif Silver Semi-Common Making dosh, mechs, and researching Bluespace.
Goldwall.png Goldore.png 18 Golddone.png Goldcoin.png Golddoor.gif Gold Semi-Common For making various electronics or pimping out Beepsky.
Uraniumwall.png Uraniumore.png 30 Uraniumdone.png Uraniumcoin.png Uraniumdoor.gif Uranium Uncommon For making you radioactive (notice: no joke, this shit is deadly as a wall or a door). Delicious cocktails.
Diamondwall.png Diamondore.png 50 Diamonddone.png Diamondcoin.png DiamondDoor.gif Diamond Rare For making mech parts, among other industrial uses.
Gibtonitewall.gif Gibtoniteore.png N/A N/A N/A N/A Gibtonite Uncommon For trolling miners blowing shit up, whether they be solid asteroid or other things. Hitting it with your mining tools will start a chain reaction. If you don't stop the reaction with your mining scanner in time, the gibtonite will explode. If you do, you can mine the ore, pick it up (you need both hands free) and use it as an explosive. The closer the gibtonite was to exploding before defused, the more potent its power.
Bananimumwall.png Bananimumore.png 60 Bananimumdone.png Bananimumcoin.png N/A Bananium HONK! A rare and unusual mineral found exclusively in clown-controlled space. Used only for the H.O.N.K. mech.

Additionally, bluespace crystals sometimes spawn on mining. These crystals can be used in various ways. Give them to science to increase bluespace science, hold onto them to use as a risk free jaunter, or throw them at people to make them teleport randomly (often into space.)

Other Classified Things

Loot

I'm not going to spoil all the riches and loot here, you have to discover it yourself, you buzzkill. No, really. Spoiling everything in Lavaland takes away from it's life. If everyone knows about everything in it, they will get bored/make a system, and the last thing we want is to have Lavaland be a system. I mean, it's randomly generated for chrisakes.

Necropolis

Somewhere, in the wastes of Lavaland, there is a great fortress. It wouldn't be wise to even attempt to enter, though no sane man would do that, right? Seriously, though, don't knock on the door of the Necropolis unless you want to die really fast. Like, almost instantly, really.
