Discord Verification

In order to reduce griefing and spam in our Discord without forcing everyone to have a verified phone number on their account, we require new members to validate themselves as a /tg/station player before entering our Discord.

Note: You will need at least 90 minutes of living time in game before you can verify, that is time spent playing as any on station role

Never verified before

1. Connect to one of our game servers and click on the OOC tab.
2. Click the Verify Discord Account button.
3. This screen will pop up

1. Copy the command between the two "'s, in this example

   .verify about-quickly-anymore-sleep-hurt-here

2. Paste and send this string as a message in the #verification channel on discord.
3. If this works you will be verified and able to see other channels
4. If you can't see other channels and the bot puts out an error message that you don't understand, contact the @Bot Owner role for more assistance

Verified before

1. type .verify and send this message to the channel
2. You will be verified as long as you had a previous valid verification.

New discord account, but previously verified

1. Follow the process as if you were a new account
2. This is also true if you are changing ckey

Is there another way?

Not yet, but we are working on providing a way for those with byond-linked forum accounts to auto verify without having to do so in-game.
